0. Previous Steps
- (Apr. 2019) Review of simulations and AerChemMIP procedure => documented on a wiki at inca1
- (July-Sep.2019) PING FILES: Done with Python Software (by Ramiro Checa-Garcia, code at OBELIX computer). The ping files are used to translate the default netcdf files of IPSL model into the variables required by AerChemMIP:
- Extract from original spreadsheets of AerChemMIP variable requests Tables with variables of AerChemMIP dreq files
- From those variables: the software created the LMDz, INCA, NEMO and ORCHIDEE ping files: IPSLCM6-AER and IPSLCM5A2CHT1
- The LMDz and INCA files were peer-reviewed by Yves and Didier
- (Oct-Nov.2019]) EQUILIBRATION-TUNNING of IPSLCM6-AER => Changed cloud parameters to have nettop consistent with IPSLCM6 (without interactive aerosols).
- From this simulation the tracers concentration has been taken and added to patern simulations to create initial-states (after a short spin-up).

- piClim-NOx discarted as is more focused on interactive chemistry.
- piClim-NTCF discarted as it is similar to piClim-aer with prescribed ozone fields.

Il me semble que pour être cohérent avec la non-réalisation d'un DECK, il doit prendre les SST du piControl officiel. Que dit le protocole pour ces simulations à SST fixées ? SST observées ou SST du piControl ? translation to be coherent with the fact we not rerun a deck, we need to use SST from the offical picontrol simulation. Before to made this choice we need to check the protocol for fixed sst ? observed or picontrol sst ?

We will run a leap simulation, with 365 and 366 years. 4. Experiment directory
Add a new experiment directory for forced model : first commit
4.1 Questions to solve
- which ModelName in config.card ?
- which TagName in config.card ?
--> the answer to the ping files give some clues. We need to take same parameter than for coupled model
2020/05/01 : make modification in experiment directory and change name of this directory to be coherent with the type of experiment : piclim-control instead of picontrol

- Do we have to follow any rule for ModelName and TagName in the config.card ?? --> YES it's depends of CMIP6 protocole and xml files path
5a. Before launch a simulation
- official ipsl check https://forge.ipsl.jussieu.fr/igcmg/wiki/IPSLCM6/IPSL-CM6A-LR#Checklist
- add od550 variables in lmdz output : modify the output level for od550 variables in file modeles/LMDZ/DefLists/file_def_histmth_lmdz.xml
Below the changes for od550 -> where XXXX is from ASBCM, ASPOMM ... to CINO3M.

5b. After launch a simulation
- Run 2 years and use check_CMIP6.sh script
- Send results to Anne and Arnaud (this step has the approval for several piClim-control -> ping files are working fine)
- After approval register the simulation at List simulations
- The run the full simulation (check about the Smooth files setting)
- Run the check_CMIP6.sh script for full simulation
- Run the batch_prePARE_CMIP6.sh for full simulation
- Report the results of the scripts => show at tables of Checks at Section 7
- Update the document List simulations
