Hi,

We are using the K1rowdrg.nc and M2rowdrg.nc files available with ORCA2_LIM forcing data for computing the tidal mixing (key_zdftmx). The unit of tidal energy flux fields are mW/m2 in the K1rowdrg.nc and M2rowdrg.nc files. Can someone confirm the units? If so, do we need to convert the flux fields to W/m2.

    Hi Sorry for the delay in replying to this. I've just compared the M2rowdrg.nc file for ORCA2 with the file we use for our ORCA025 runs. Looking at the values I think the units attribute might be wrong in the ORCA2 file but the values look correct.

    If that is the case you don't need to do anything with the files to use them (as NEMO won't check the units) but we should try to correct the units attribute in the files.
