= Announcement of NEMO minor release 4.0.1 =


Following the NEMO 4.0 release announced in January 2019, we are pleased to announce the minor 4.0.1 release, now available here: ​http://forge.ipsl.jussieu.fr/nemo/browser/NEMO/releases/release-4.0.1

This 4.0.1 release is based on 4.0 and also includes:

* A number of bugfixes, especially in the new sea ice SI3 component (see https://forge.ipsl.jussieu.fr/nemo/query?status=closed&changetime=2019-01-30..&resolution=fixed&group=status&col=id&col=summary&col=status&col=type&col=priority&col=milestone&col=component&desc=1&order=id) [[BR]]
 For details in file changes, see logs for source files (./src) and configurations (./cfgs)
* BDY: cleaning, bugfixes and major optimisations (suppress MPI communications in most of the cases).[[BR]]
 Warning: modifications in nambdy and nambdy_dta
* The up-to-date reference manuals for the three components (ocean dynamics, sea-ice and biogeochemistry) now available here:

If you have already downloaded the 4.0 release, the SVN update command will allow you to add the bugfixes to your downloaded code

The future release NEMO 4.2 is scheduled for 2021.
