    8888- floodplains.nc (0.5°) with:
8989  - the fraction of irrigated areas based on Siebert et al. (2005) initially available at 5 arc-min https://www.hydrol-earth-syst-sci.net/9/535/2005/hess-9-535-2005.html
90   - the fractions covered by various wetlands and lakes according to GLWD database of Lehner and Doell (2004): floodplains (flood), lakes, reservoirs (dam),  brackish/saline wetlands (saline), swamp and flood forests (swamp), intermittent wetlands, mostly found in arid areas (pond). The routing scheme defines the floodplains fraction as the sum of flood+dam+saline, while swamps and ponds undergo a special treatment (optional). More details in the PhD thesis of d'Orgeval (2006), pp 114-126.
