Two coupled simulations have been done. Both of them using CWRR hydrology in ORCHIDEE. In LMDZ the physics NPv3.2 has been used.

  • CL2.CWRR.3013 uses the old snow scheme and the freezing is not activated
  • CL2.CWRR.3013.snow has the explicit snow scheme and the soil freezing activated.

Both simulations does 20 years between 1970-1989. They do not use any restart file to start. Therefore, validation is proposed for the last 10 years only.

Offline ORCHIDEE

Two series of simulations have been done in offline mode with ORCHIDEE. Both use CWRR hydrology and 2 degree CRU-NCEP v5.3.2 forcing.

  • FG1low.CWRR.3013, FG1translow.CWRR.3013, FG2low.CWRR.3013 : these simulations use the old snow scheme and the freezing is not activated, standard set-up
  • FG1low.CWRR.3013.snow, FG1translow.CWRR.3013.snow, FG2low.CWRR.3013.snow : these simulations use the explicit snow scheme and the soil freezing is activated
