Tools (#2) - [SIREN] Restart file running error (#36) - Message List
I am using SIREN to generate regional grid from ORCA025, and following what the SIREN documents saying. When I was generating restart file with multi processors, it turned out fatal error. some of the error messages are as followed
INFO : MPP COMPUTE LAYOUT: compute domain layout with 64 x 64 processors INFO : MPP COMPUTE LAYOUT: sea proc 3484 INFO : MPP COMPUTE LAYOUT: land proc 612 INFO : MPP COMPUTE LAYOUT: sum 396408 DEBUG : MPP CREATE LAYOUT: create domain decomposition with 8 x 8 = 60 proces : sors ERROR : MPP ADD PROC: processor 1, already in mpp structure ERROR : MPP ADD PROC: processor 2, already in mpp structure ERROR : MPP ADD PROC: processor 3, already in mpp structure ERROR : MPP ADD PROC: processor 4, already in mpp structure ERROR : MPP ADD PROC: processor 5, already in mpp structure FATAL : Error count reached limit of 5
only one output file is fine.
So what is the reason to cause these error and do I need to generate multi processors initial files?

To be able to understood and correct your issue, I need a little more information. Could you join all the SIREN namelists you use, so I could try to create your configuration on my side.
Moreover, you do not need to build a restart file on multi files. NEMO is able to read a monobloc restart file and run on multi processors.
