Arnaud Caubel noticed using the AR5 version of ORCHIDEE in IPSLCM5A, that the output variable ALLOW_INITPHENO in is not reproductible.

This has to be clarified. Verification in the trunk version of ORCHIDEE must be done.

The error has been reproduced with tag 1.9.5 of Orchidee in LMDZOR_v5 configuration at curie. Using the trunk rev 1308 of Orchidee the problem has not been seen. I suppose therefore the problem has been resolved in the source code.

Following tests have been done at curie with LMDZOR_v5 configuration :

* With Orchidee 1.9.5 : 5 simulations with the same set-up and same executable have been done. They are reproductible except for the variable ALLOW_INITPHENO in file. All other history files and all restart files are identic. Among these 5 simulations, the first and the fifth are identic. And the second, third and fourth are identic. This means that ALLOW_INITPHENO have 2 different patterns among 5 simulations. These simulations have a lenght of 3 months.

  • With Orchidee trunk revision 1307 : 6 simulations have been done. They are all identic, including all history and restart files. The same set-up as above was used. These simulations have a lenght of 2 years.

All simulations use adjust=n in LMDZ.
