#274 new enhancement

Move to a single canopy layering for BVOCs, GPP and albedo

Reported by: luyssaert Owned by: somebody
Priority: minor Milestone: Not scheduled yet
Component: Biogeochemical processes Version: trunc

Description

(1) The current BVOC module (trunk) uses a vertical layering. Make the code consistent and let the BVOC module make use of the vertical layering used to calculate GPP and albedo.

  • Milestone changed from IPSLCM6.v2 to ORCHIDEE 4.0
  • Summary changed from Check BVOCs to Move to a single canopy layering for BVOCs, GPP and albedo

Since the ticket was opened the model has changed it lot. The ticket should now read as: ORCHIDEE-CN-CAN with its own canopy layering for GPP and albedo has been merged with the trunk. The trunk has a separate canopy layering for the calculation of the BVOCs. Needs to be checked whether BVOC's can be put onto the GPP and albedo layers to enhance consistency. GPP and albedo are on the same layering systems as the multi-layer energy budget, hence, it seems easier to put the BVOCs calculations on those layers than the other way around.
