Description
Check whether the global soil carbon pool is between 700 and 1100 Pg C. Following spinup the global soil carbon pool should be within the range of observations.

For r6904 the cumulated pre-industrial soil carbon amounts to 430 PgC (slow) + 350 PgC (medium) + 15 PgC (Fast) = 795 Pg C based on the analytical spinup (around the year 1860). Note that for the current parameters the global LAI is (~1.9) compared to (~1.3) in Tag 2.1. This higher LAI is likely to contribute to higher soil carbon pools.
In r6862 Nicolas Vuichard proposes to decrease some of the soil turnover parameters. These changes were introduced in the trunk in r6916.
