v13 v14 59 59 ## IGCM directory ## 60 60 61 The files needed to run the models (initial conditions, boundary conditions, forcings) are grouped in common accounts. The shared accounts from the different computing centers are regularly synchronized. Part of it is synchronized at LSCE. The `IGCM` tree exists at TGCC, at IDRIS and at IPSL. The `IGCM` directory is located in the storage spaces of each computing centers. 61 The files needed to run the models (initial conditions, boundary conditions, forcings) are stored in IGCM directory at shared accounts. The shared accounts from the different computing centres are regularly synchronized. 62 The synchronization procedure between different computing centers is done manually on demand. The `IGCM` tree exists at TGCC, at IDRIS, at IPSL and at LSCE(part of IGCM only). The `IGCM` directory is located in the storage spaces of each computing centres. 62 63 63 64 This common directory is defined by `libIGCM_sys` : variable `R_IN`. … … 72 73 * There is also an acess through DODS : http://dods.ipsl.jussieu.fr/igcmg/IGCM 73 74 74 In this shared directory, there are three directories : 75 * `IGCM/STORAGE`-> contains all the files necessary for the different configurations ; 76 * `IGCM/INIT` -> for each configuration links are done to `IGCM/STORAGE/INIT` ; 77 * `IGCM/BC` -> for each configuration links are done to `IGCM/STORAGE/BC`. 78 * `IGCM/RESTART`-> restart files for some reference simulations, see below 75 The organization of the sub directories in IGCM has been changed the 19th of June 2015. Currently in IGCM, the following sub directories exist: 76 * `IGCM/ATM` -> input files for the atmospheric model LMDZ 77 * `IGCM/SRF` -> input files for the land surface model ORCHIDEE. The forcing files for ORCHIDEE offline are found in IGCM/SRF/METEO 78 * `IGCM/CHM` -> input files for the chemistry model INCA 79 * `IGCM/OCE` -> input files for the ocean system NEMO (OPA, LIM, PISCES) 80 * `IGCM/CPL` -> input files for the coupler OASIS 81 * `IGCM/RESTART` -> restart files for some reference simulations 79 82 80 This link system is not very well respected and lots of files are found in `INIT` and `BC`. 83 In addition 2 directories INIT and BC containing links to the above directories exist in IGCM. INIT and BC directories are needed only to keep retro compatibility after the reorganization was done. These directories are used in the comp.card in older configurations. INIT and BC will be remove during 2016(to be announced) : 84 * `IGCM/INIT` -> temporary directory, contains links to the above directories 85 * `IGCM/BC` -> temporary directory, contains links to the above directories 81 86 82 The synchronization procedure between different computing centers is done manually on demand. 87 Before the reorganization following directories existed in IGCM : 88 * IGCM/STORAGE -> contains all the files necessary for the different configurations ; 89 * IGCM/INIT -> for each configuration links are done to IGCM/STORAGE/INIT. Some files are also stored directly in here. 90 * IGCM/BC -> for each configuration links are done to IGCM/STORAGE/BC. Some files are also stored directly in here. 91 * IGCM/RESTART -> restart files for some reference simulations 92 83 93 84 94 ### The IGCM/RESTART directory ### 85 95 86 The `IGCM/RESTART` directory contains the model initial states for a few important experiments. This directory is duplicated on the different computing centers at the same location as `IGCM`.For the moment IPSL-CM5A (LR and MR) is the only configuration concerned. Previously these files were stored into IGCM_RESTART directory. Now these files are very easy to describe with ${R_IN} variable.96 The `IGCM/RESTART` directory contains the model initial states for a few important experiments.
