Objectives:

Create a set of codes to create easily new configuration. This tool should create, at least, input files needed for regional configuration:

• coordinates
• bathymetry
• intitial state
• boundary condition
• tide
• runoff
• surface forcing

It should be used to create a configuration starting from scratch as easily as to be used partially (example : to split restart, to create bathymetry), so each part should be independent.

It should not need software license, so everyone could used it anywhere.

Working Group 2015, Implementation proposal:

• Agree SIREN code structure: Mar 2015
• Test to be done with SIREN :
  • Are the files created by SIREN compliant with AGRIF.
  • ice/tracers/dynamics data
  • SIREN can not handle north fold. an arbitrary limit of 88N have been added, however this limits has to be tested, and may be changed.
