Description

Context

The proto-NEMO 4.0 code (currently the dev_merge_2017 branch) will be tested in 30-year CORE-forced integrations of ORCA1, ORCA025 and ORCA12 and the results compared with integrations based on the 3.6_stable code.

  • wp_comment set to I have completed 30-year CORE2-forced integrations for ORCA1 and ORCA025 based on rev 9490 of the dev_merge_2017 branch. There are significant science differences between these configurations and our standard NEMO 3.6 configurations (different sea ice model, currently no internal wave mixing in NEMO 4 configurations), so one would expect different results, but the results look sensible and the differences are where you would expect them given the science differences.

See http://forge.ipsl.jussieu.fr/nemo/attachment/wiki/Users/Agenda/2018-10-11/Session2_03_Pierre_2018_NEMO-UM.pdf for some illustration of the differences.

6 months test run with eORCA12 was done successfully.
