Description

Create a new development branch off branches/2011/ based on release 3.3.1 (which included dynamic memory allocation).

This branch will contain developments by Andrew Porter and Stephen Pickles in the dCSE NEMO project, aimed at improving performance and scalability on large, multi-core scalar systems. In particular (a) array-index re-ordering, and (b) dynamic domain decomposition and multi-core aware halo exchanges.

This is really old branch (and last activity is 3 years old) dealing with code performances.

some changes present in this branch are somehow trackable in the code of v3.4
but they largely disappeared in the following releases.

I think that the ticket can be closed as the activities related to this branch branches/2011/DEV_r2739_STFC_dCSE were never tracked in here!
